Hello!

I’m Sarah, an enthusiastic believer, wife, and mom of three little girls. I’m also a writer, gospel musician, and the founder and editor of The Uplifting Times. I love sharing faith in creative, uplifting ways and involving my daughters in this project to teach them how they can use their own creativity in small ways to make the world a better place.

The Uplifting Times began in 2022 as part of a 7 Lands Ministry initiative that brought gospel music, encouragement, and connection to residents in assisted living communities, especially those experiencing isolation. I continue to love performing gospel music in assisted living facilities and preschools and finding joyful ways to encourage people of all ages.

When I’m not contributing to The Uplifting Times or chasing around my three little girls, I help my husband run our local family business, Lightyear Lawn Care. I’m also studying creative writing at Liberty University and working toward the release of my first book, Seven Lands to Home. Expected to be released around Thanksgiving 2026, the book shares my testimony of how I came to know Jesus through a journey that took me to all seven continents and back.
